Eri Chikusa is originally from Japan and is currently following her dream of pursuing dance in the US. While living in her hometown in Mie, Japan, 16-year old Eri spent most of her time training her dance foundations and fundamental. After graduating high school in 2013, she moved to Tokyo where she began to train under world-class dancers and crews, such as s**t kings, YOSHIKI (KING OF SWAG), and more. Since then, Eri’s dance experience has ranged from back up dancer for Japanese artists and urban showcases. In 2014, she visited San Diego, California for the first time where she trained at Building Block under founders Keone and Mari Madrid. After two years, in August of 2016, she moved to San Diego where she was able to now call her dream city “home.” In December of 2017, Eri began her journey with Cookies and could not be more excited for what is to come.
Outside of dancing, Eri loves to go to the beach, watch movies, and play basketball. In addition, she is currently pursuing a degree in Dance at Palomar College in San Marcos, California.
Fun Fact: she used to play the piano, trumpet, and saxophone, and was also classically trained in ballet for 5 years!
